what was there to do in the uk from ww2(it was in all of the papers) till the late sixties "SFA"sweet fuck all , pubs were open for a couple of hours lunch time , shops were closed , movie houses too , those old blue laws, THE C OF E , (CHURCH OF ENGLAND used to have a lot of pull back then , you could not even sell bread and milk on a sunday where i came from
